Jaxon started a new school this week, it was a super hard decision to move him from Bright Horizons but one that should have happened YEARS ago. As you know, I work from home and Rich works in Hutto. We were driving all the way into Austin to take him to and from school. This was taking anywhere from 1.5 -2 hours a day, not to mention the tolls and gas money to drive that far. We found a tiny little school on Sunrise that is just perfect (well as perfect as perfect can be in 2 days). He is transitioning very well and really likes his new friends and teachers. Upstream Learning is the name of the center, the director is an educator who wanted a better preschool for her children so she decided to create one :)
Jaxon really likes the boat playscape they have with a fire pole! I bet he showed me 10 times. They also have monkey bars, I got a note from the director that he had mastered them by 8:15 this morning. He is so dang competitive that I can bet that he saw someone else do it and would not stop until he mastered it.
Mrs. Becca wrote a note on his daily sheet today that said - "Jaxon told me he liked my ring today and asked where I got it. I told him my husband gave it to me and he said that it was glued to my finger because I was married" She thought this was too cute!
