Today, Rich and I joined Alicyn and her class on a field trip. We attempted to follow the buses out to Elgin, but that proved to be impossible. Can you believe they went all the way to Taylor to go to Elgin? What in the world? Needless to say, all the parents were hanging for a bit before the kids arrived. Alicyn was super excited to get to travel by bus. BTW, what makes riding the bus so cool? I don't get it. First off, we all jumped on a trailer for a long hayride. The trees are all planted in rows for as far as you can see. We were a bit concerned about rain but it ended up being fine. We made flowers, planted seeds, had duck races, saw lots of farm animals, the kids had a blast. I'm so glad we were both able to join her. I have such fond memories of my Kindergarten year with Mrs. Stewart, I know that she will have the same with Mrs. Farque.
