My dear old dad has said goodbye to the fabulous 50's and hello to the 60's. But who is counting anyway, I don't think he looks even close to 60. My dad was A.D.D. when A.D.D wasn't cool. He is a talker, he learned that from his dad. He walks fast, changes subjects faster though. His train of thought is often derailed by a passing classic car, whether it be on the road or on the TV show he is watching. He is opinionated and tends to say "no" right away, but usually after a few days of thought, he can be swayed. I am just like him in many ways, although not to the same extreme, for example, I like to be on time but not 2 hours early. We both have no real desire to see the world, and are just fine right here in central Texas. He tends to lean more on the side of the glass half empty, like me but hey, at least we are realistic. He loves all things music, especially live and loud, it sounds better that way, right? We are both only children, which makes us both spoiled :). My dad has a great sense of humor, and has many lifelong friends, I love that about him. He is my financial advisor, and the best grandpa in the world.
Happy Birthday Dad! We love you!
Aw! Happy Birthday, Dennis! Your dad has looked the same since we were in Kindergarten..with maybe a little more salt and pepper in his hair these days! He is a great guy! Sweet as pie!
ReplyDeleteLaura, you are definitely spoiled...but a good spoiled momma:-) Oh so sweet, our dads are the best.
