London Revisted

London revisited through Rich's lens. I decided it was time to get these pictures up on the blog, I am determined to get through the May blogs before July gets here. I am backdating this so 10 years from now it will be in the right place but today is really June 26, 2011. As you already know, we went back to London in May. Me for work, Rich for fun just like last year at this same time. But this trip Rich had a travel companion...April is the daughter of Sam & Nancy Todd who lived next door to us for many years before moving to College Station. April loves our kids like no other so we have stayed in touch, and one of her favorite things in the world to do is travel, so when I found out we were going back, I asked if she wanted to tag along. Her and Rich get along great, both really dig exploring. During this trip they determined that they would make a great team on Amazing Race. Here are his pictures, I will try to be your guide but no guarantees that I am right since I was not present for most of it. I am thankful that April was able to join us cause Rich got to see somethings he may not have if she hadn't come.

The London Eye at night. I was there for this part and must admit its pretty cool. Think of it as the biggest Ferris wheel ever. Each of these capsules holds 30+ people so its literally HUGE! The ride takes 30 mins.

Rich and I with Big Ben.

Tonya & Rich with Beckham.

View from the London Eye, not very high at this point.

You can't go to London and not take a picture in a phone booth.

Rich & April at Trafalgars Square

Huge Loins guarding the area.

St. James Park. Amazing flowers.

Rich and the Mounted Guard. Can you imagine having to stand that still while all the tourist come try to make you giggle.

Pretty sure this is one of the coolest pictures Rich has taken. St. James Park again.

Thames River in Salisbury

Peace

Beautiful church in Salisbury.

Amazing architecture.

Front view of the church

Rich being silly.

Stonehenge. Just cant wrap my brain around how these could be there.

I asked him if he just wore earphones the whole time but that's when he told me that was the tour guide. LOL.

Rich almost to Stonehenge.

The famous bikes. And this is another time I am thankful that it was not me on this little rendezvous. Rich and April ride bikes from Salisbury to Stonehenge. Yeah, I said bikes, they rented them and rode 20 miles each way. I would have died but this is one of Rich's favorite memories of the trip. In fact, he said if he goes again, he will do it again. The countryside was apparently really nice, it was uphill on the ride there but smooth sailing on the way back. Took 2 hours to get there. 1 hour back.
