Dia Uno en la Panama

Not much to report, but I will report anyway.

We left about 945am this morning to head to the airport. Only 15 minutes behind schedule but you know that makes me panic. The kids went off with my parents without tears which was great. I was not sure I could handle another meltdown like last night. Whew, Alicyn knows how to pull the heart strings. Anyway, we made it with plenty of time to the airport even though we were less that 2 hours before the flight. The plane to Houston was TINY, reason #1 why I hate traveling. It was old, raggedy and PACKED. The flight was uneventful except for a little turbulence. We landed, and had to walk down stairs to get off the plane. I think our gate was out in a field somewhere instead of in the terminal. That was a first, kinda like the President you know walking down the metal stairs. Weird. Anyway, we got into the real terminal and made it to the new gate. We boarded for Panama on time, left the gate on time, and then had to return to the gate to removed cargo that should not have been on the plane. Who knows for sure what it was, I heard the flight attendant say dry ice. I could hear her cause we were in the last possible row of the plane. Guess what that means...every single person in the 37 rows in front of us went the bathroom, which means they had to squeeze between Rich and I and stand there until the restroom was free. Anyway, a hour later we left the gate again with out the cargo that should have never made it on in the first place. We arrived in Panama 30 minutes later than planned and since my Dell cell is not working that means we had to depend on a coworker to call the car. We waited in immigration for 2.5 miserable hours and then got to the hotel. All is well here, we leave for the office at 745am so I better get to bed. Hopefully Rich will update after his day out and about cause my work day is sure to be boring!!!
