Mr. Mom

As if you didn't know already, Rich is a fabulous daddy. He got to play Mr. Mom for the whole week of Feb 7th while I was traveling for work. Nowhere crazy this time, just Plano, TX. And for the record, I don't like going there either. Planning for this meeting was not so great, remember that Super Bowl was on Feb 6th in Dallas so there were no hotels for all the folks coming in from around the globe. We got started at noon on Monday just to accommodate the flights, hotels etc. Rich flew solo, and he did a great job. This week happened to be the week before Alicyn's big dance competition in Dallas so it worked out well that I was there. Unless you count the fact that I was not here to help out and do the last minute things before leaving. He did the morning routine, which takes 2 of us normally cause Alicyn has a bit of her dads tendencies where time is concerned. JT has become quite opinionated on which shirts, shoes, socks, underwear he wears so that's fun. My mom helped get Jaxon to school and picked Alicyn up in the afternoons (thank Goodness!). And then daddy did the full dance schedule in the evenings along with dinner and baths etc. All this seems normal, and it is but its normally done with both of us and its tiring. I know it was a long week for him, but somehow he still managed to cook homemade fried chicken, which has now put my mama style strogonof to shame. (Alicyn has said for the last 2 years in her year end book that my strogonof is her favorite meal, which is odd since I don't know how to cook to save my life, and Rich can cook his booty off). Anyway, he rocked the week. Him and my mom headed to Dallas on Friday to meet me for a weekend full of dance....Love you Rich, not sure what I would do without you!
