Snow Day

We were so excited...Snow was in the forecast...Alicyn, with help from a friends suggestion, put a recipe together that makes it snow...Flush 2 ice cubes down the toilet, sleep with a spoon under your pillow and sleep with your P.J.'s inside out..and it worked:)
Funny, but I guess it only works if snow is for casted. In this part of the country, any help will do because it just don't happen (although it has happened two years in a row now). This year we hit low temperatures that "they" said had not happened in some 20 years..
I (Rich) woke up early since I went to bed early and noticed it had snowed. Made coffee, answered the phone around 530am from the school telling us there was no school for the day!!!So I got the camera ready and hit the outside bundled up shortly after that and took some great pictures of the house, cars and the neighbors stuff as well.
I let Alicyn sleep in until 7:30 or so and didn't even have to mention it to her, since she knew the "snow trick" had to have worked. She opened the front door and, ta da...

She immediately ran to get her clothes on, wake up Jaxon and ran outside to make a snow angel...

We tried to make a snow man, but it really didn't work. We only received about a 1/2 inch, so snow ball fight was next on the list. Alicyn understands, Jaxon still needs practice with his snow ball throwing.

All and all, it was a good day away from school. Snowball fight, chasing each other and they even took the mustang for a cruise.
