quick update

Quick update from the McGovern house....

Alicyn is loving camp this summer, she is going to Central Texas Performing Arts camp. They go to the Pflugerville Lake in the mornings, and do dance in the afternoon. The theme this month is "so you think you can dance". She is loving it! Big time. Next week is the Mini Diva Dance camp - she is super excited about this one too. I don't know how her legs are not hurting, the girl is a dancing machine.

Jaxon is great too, he gets really excited on Wednesday mornings when I wake him up and tell him its Splash day at school. They splash in what I would call a mudpit but he loves it so I have decided not to sweat the small stuff. He is talking so well now, its amazing. His new favorite thing is Barney!!!! He sings "its a beautiful day". So cute!

Rich is good, work has been doable, he got 4th place in the World Cup game there, so dang close to winning some cash. Hockey will be starting back up soon, I think he is really missing playing. I can't think of a summer that he took off in the last 10 years. All his slaving in the yard has paid off for sure. It looks so good! Its like the grass in the back has been there forever!

And then there is me, lord I am whoooped. The running joke at work is that I work 2.5 of the 3 shifts there are. I am drowning and will be so damn glad when all the systems are back to normal. We did an upgrade (which was really a downgrade) to the main tool my team uses. Needless to say, 2.5 weeks later, we are still not back in business. We have major issues with performance which means that every one and their mother is calling and asking how I can help get it fixed. I can't fix it!!!!! I got told today that i will need to work "India hours" next week. That should be interesting. I think I may invest in a Starbucks IV". I am hanging in there cause it can't get any worse. No travel planned until August (thank GOD!) We will see, pray for me that's all I can say.

  1. Aw....thinking of you! Miss you and love you and glad to see your post on here! I can't even look at a calendar anymore. Not ready for the summer to be half over, but I am pretty sure it is!
