Windex, its not just for windows anymore.

JT is going to be the handful and a half for us. Please refrain from calling CPS after you read this....

The other day, Rich was replacing the sticker that was months past due on the truck, he got out the Windex, put it in the floorboard of the truck while he used the razor blade to remove the old sticker. Jaxon was in his normal spot, the drivers seat, driving away. Rich gets the old one off, and the window clean and then new sticker on, all while crouching awkwardly in that little space between the dash and the window. He turns around when he is done to find Jaxon with the Windex sprayer pointed in his mouth, finger on the trigger! Within a millisecond, he pulls the trigger and the Windex is dripping out onto his shirt from his mouth. Rich says NO, but its too late. You can imagine the scene, its all happening in slow motion like the movies. Jaxon does not like the taste, thankfully. Rich wipes his tongue off and asks him if he swallowed it, he says no, and then yes. Lord. Rich brings him inside while reading the bottle and says in the concerned dad voice, Laura! I knew something was up, "Jaxon drank Windex!". I read the bottle, it says to call a doctor and drink a glass of water, so I get on the phone and he gets the water. At this point we are asking Jaxon, did you drink it? "Jess, yucky". Did you swallow it? "Jess." Did you drink it? "No." UUUUGGGGH! Dr. Getman's office says I need to call poison control, all this time I am thinking, CPS is on the way. Poison control answers immediately and very calmly explains that he is going to be fine. They asked if he drank half the bottle, I said no just a few squirts. I asked what I should be on the look out for (which are drowsiness and upset tummy in case you ever wondered what would happen if you drank Windex) but since he got so little they were not the least bit concerned. I did get a followup call at work the next day checking on him but of course he was fine. As I drove home from work, I have to admit, I wondered if CPS would be there for a little visit. And my mom just made matters worse by asking if the house was clean!!!!
