Team Linda 1 mile group
What a perfect day for the Race for the Cure! We headed out early to make it to the Domain by 730am, traffic was not quite figured out with the new race location so we didn't get there on time, but we made it and we walked it and that's all the matters. I love the race for the cure for lots of reasons. 1. my mom is a survivor. 2. seeing all these people in one place, supporting each other and this cause gives me goosebumps. Every age, every size, every color are walking, and raising awareness for Breast Cancer and 3. the team names crack me up. I swear, watching the teams and reading the shirts makes the walk fly by. This year we decided to do the 1 mile rather than the full 5K, but based on the parking situation, I am certain that we walked 5k. Alicyn enjoyed every minute with Madison, Jayden and Hannah and cousin Becca who loves all over her. Jaxon munched on a crunchy granola bar, and then snoozed for the rest of the race. (I will be giving him this on our morning drive to school, he had to work to get a bite, will save some screams from the back seat when I can't get him a "nack" fast enough). Afterwards, in Team Linda tradition, we had everyone over to mom's for breakfast. Such a great day, great cause. Be happy, Live Healthy, Schedule a mammogram.
