Kids giving to Kids Parade

We have a tradition in our family to deliver gifts for Blue Santa at Christmas time, this year we took it one step further and participated in the 21st annual Chuy's Kids giving to Kids Parade. Its become a big deal in Austin, kinda our version of the Macy's Day parade. Near the end of the parade, kids can go out and fill all the trucks & floats with their gifts to give other children in need. We made sure to explain that the people getting these gifts would not have gifts without our donations. Its a great cause, and hope that participating, our children with learn the importance of helping others. Ina few weeks, we will take the wrapped gifts door to door to the families. It gave me chills today to see the children pour onto Congress to do their part in helping the less fortunate in our community. And as a bonus, the Lonestar dance teams were preforming, so that made it extra cool. Thanks grandma, pop, Trish, Lance, Lindsey, Sara, Amy & Riley for sharing this awesome day with us.
