Twas the night before Christmas

And all through grandma & pops house........

I used to look so forward to this day when I was a kid, we would to Gma & pop Lebo's for Christmas Eve every year. So we are keeping with that, so on we went to grandma and pops house. We had a delicious steak dinner and opened a ton of presents. I am posting the big winners from the night since there are way to may pictures to post, especially on the blog, its not the easiest or quickest thing in the world. They loved everything but there was a clear stand out "most awesome gift ever" winner for each of them.
All the gifts behind the kids here were for us, my mom has to store everyone else's presents somewhere else until all of our are gone. She might overdo it just a tiny bit at Christmas. The holiday she loves the most, I might add. I am not judging, I have her genes and know my kids are spoiled rotten, just saying the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. (so mom, did you ever think you would hear me say that...first time for everything :).
Jaxon's most awesome gift in the whole wide world was the cars "pack-back". It came stuffed with a cars sleeping bag too. Mom thought that might get him to sleep in his own bed, ummm, not so much but A for effort. He put it on immediately and didn't take it off for the rest of the night. He is now taking it to school everyday too. He insisted on the sleeping bag coming to school the first day back. The teachers insisted it not come back ever again. LOL. They said he had a bad nap time, when I asked him what happened he said. "I dumped off my cot, I dot under my sheep". For those that are not used to the "d's" in mr. JT's vocabulary, he said. He jumped off his cot and got under his sheet. Referring to the cot sheet which is not supposed to be gotten under at all. LOL. Mess!
Alicyn's big awesome gift was a bookshelf. She and my parents were running around and stopped at a consignment shop before Christmas. She saw this bookshelf, and had to have it. As a matter of fact, without my parents knowledge she text me from their phones asking if she could have them buy it and me pay them back. "Its perfect mama, I need a place for all my books, and it will give me room for more games in my closet." I said no, cause at that point it was like 2 days before Christmas and knowing what all we had already purchased, that just seemed silly. Apparently, my parents brought her home, distraught over being told no, and then when right back over there and got the bookshelf. You can see her reaction to it being brought into the room. Ecstatic! It matches well in her room, and is all full of books and other miscellaneous items.

I don't have pics of Rich & I's most awesome gifts here but mine was a new luggage set. Its eggplant color, which I like cause it doesn't look the other 430 black suitcases coming off the baggage claim thing. I can grab and go! I don't know what Rich's favorite was but am guessing it was the air compressor that he didn't even get on Christmas Eve. Dad was so A.D.D. on that day that he forgot to get it and even forgot that he had bought in until the next morning. hahaha. Mom got an ipad & a keurig coffee maker, I am jealous. Dad....hum, I don't remember what he got other than we bought. Our theme was warmth since he seems to be freezing all the time these days. Needless to say, Christmas Eve was a success!
