Introducing Izzy McGovern

We took the plunge and got a new baby. The name game went on for almost a week, but she finally has a name that has stuck....Izzy. Izzy girl as Jaxon calls her is a Boston Terrier and is 8 weeks old. We had been looking since Amigo died in July but wanted to be sure we didn't get a dog from a puppy mill. We found an ad on Craigslist, and drove on a Friday to League City to meet her. There were 6 puppies to chose from and a super sweet mama there to greet us. The family was awesome, and had kids so the puppies were very used to being played with and held. Alicyn loved everyone of them. We finally had to separate the boys and the girls so we could start to make our choice. They were all adorable. Mama had trained them to follow her out the doggie door, it was hilarious to see her go out, and all 6 follow right behind just like little ducklings. Too bad we don't have a doggie door cause she would have been using it right away. She does all the normal puppy things, pees, poops, cries when we put her in the kennel, has razor sharp baby teeth etc. She loves to cuddle though and will definitely be a couch dog. She loves the AC and only wants to be outside as long as we make her. She has tried to play with Nutmeg, which normally ends quickly since Nutmeg does not appreciate the new house guest. Thank goodness she doesn't have claws, otherwise Izzy would have been getting stitches.
