Jaxon's First Skates

Rich has been wanting skates for Jaxon for at least a year. Grandma Colorado found these at Target for his birthday, they are perfect. They are in-line but with an extra wheel for support in the back that is adjustable to make them true in-line when he gets the knack of it. I can't imagine skating at 3 but he is so about hockey and skating like daddy that there is not much he won't try. His balance is not quite there but he is learning. He is able to get around on them but doesn't quite have the form down. Rich is working with him on the mini rink he made in the driveway, its really cool to hear him teach him. "you have to bend your knees" etc etc. Jaxon has mastered standing back up when he falls which is always a good thing, and insists on wearing all his "gear" like daddy when he skates. Guess that is secretly a good thing too, otherwise we would have many more scrapes and bruises.
He's doing it! And this was taken only a few minutes after having the skates on. With as athletic as this boy is, I know he will master it quickly.

Daddy making him go fast, but still preaching the bend you knees!

Solo. Big stuff.
