Never in a million years would i have thought that I of all people would be "granola" but I am well on my way after another successful visit to Dr. Nina. Nina aka witch doctor has been seeing my Ali since she was 4 months old and Jaxon since 4 weeks old. She is a cranial sacral therapist, just google it if you want the technical details. Basically, she touches my kids and they are healed, and adjusted. Its not like a chiropractor at all, she puts less pressure than the weight of a dime. I'm telling you, she is amazing (almost unbelievable) at what she does. Alicyn never had to get tubes, even after many, many ear infections. In fact, after 4 trips to Nina, she has only had one ear infection in 4.5 years!!!! Since Jaxon was a c-section, we started taking him right away, and he has only had one (and not even officially one) ear infection. For the record, I think Dr. Getman was tired of seeing me that week so he gave me antibiotics to shut me up. Getman can't admit that he is a believer after our stories cause that would be against some medical Dr. rule, but I think he is a closet believer.
So today, we took Alicyn to Nina since she got strep again a few weeks ago. Last time we had several bouts of strep in a row, we went to Nina, she drained her tonsils and we went strep free for months. So it seemed like time to go again. She did the normal drainage thing (and even taught us how), and then started working on her sinus'. She was able to improve her breathing through her nose instantly, and by tonight, she is much less stuffed up. Then she moved to her legs since Alicyn is growing so quickly, she has growing pains. She touched and said "you are doing so well, in this calm whisper". When she says this, it means that something that wa sout of place, is getting back into a rythem. I guess we will see in a few days if there is improvement there. Next, it was on to her speech. I don't know why after all these years, I never thought about Nina for speech but it makes perfect sense that she could do her thing to her tongue just like any other body part. Alicyn says guuuuurl and wurrrrld instead of girl and world, Nina did a little of her magic and BAM, Alicyn was saying those to words much better. She says the middle right side of her tongue is moving more freely now. I have tried to understand it, but I can't explain it, she is releasing so much energy, her hands are piping hot. It's amazing, and if it works who cares right....call us granola, tree huggers, green, whatever, it really WORKS!
BTW: Jaxon is up next...he has an appointment on Friday for his constantly draining eyes. Dr. G said if its not better by 18 months we may have to have surgery on his tear ducks....not gonna let that happen, Dr. Nina can fix anything!
Got any issues, I betcha Nina could fix it.
