Grandma isn't listening, but she has cookies

...so my dearest Laura is off and traveling due to work, this time without me for companionship. My mom, "Grandma Colorado", has gratefully come to Texas to act as my guardian or my "wife" for the week, if you will.
Laura left on Sunday(under bad circumstances with the kid-o's) and Grandma arrived on Monday (with much needed happy hugs from Alicyn and a slow warm-up reaction from Jaxon).
After all was said and done on Monday, I told my Mother that she had a choice to keep Alicyn home, away from camp, and take Jaxon to school to get him back on track (and to keep her sanity) since we had just gotten back from the beach. Soooo, she HAD a CHANCE....to KEEP her sanity...
But being the loving and caring person she is, she decided to say no against my repeated mentioning of our beloved "2 year old, diablo". What could he do anyway, right? Plus, she don't get enough time with them and any time is good time....right? OK...
With cookies and banana bread on their minds for the day they pushed on. No camp for Alicyn, and no school for Jaxon. Game on!!!
They went to Wal-Mart to gather supplies for cookies and banana bread. (mistake #1).
Note: if anyone remembers the wonderful trip I made to the store with Jaxon, the bloody nose, the lady's...etc you might remember...DON'T GO TO THE STORE WITH JAXON UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY ANOTHER ADULT:)
Her trip was, not bloody, but lets just say he was BAD, not listening and Alicyn helped, but even she could only help a little. Of course, Jaxon doesn't want to stay in the shopping cart because he's at that age where he's independent and wants to "Run". Usually he's somewhat contained if you keep your eye, three steps ahead of him. Mistake #2 (Grandma wasn't ready for that). He would run, run, not listen, run...etc. I was told that even the mentioning of "THE MAN", didn't help much. ("THE MAN" is a something that we use to contain Jaxon, but that's to be used for another blog entry)
When I got off of work after they had returned and some cookies were already made, my Mother's first words were, "Guess who's going to school tomorrow". I didn't have to ask, but I did just for a laugh, and to say, "You should have listened to me".
I guess sometimes you should listen to your children:) but still make me cookies ha ha.
The pictures are Alicyn, with her beautiful design cookies, Jaxon with Grandma (Yes, that's icing all over his face, ears and hair, and I added the video of Jaxon just to show how cute he says, "Grandma Da-Rado" or Grandma Colorado...
