Since we had so much happening with travel and vacation etc in early August, we decided to have Jaxon's kid birthday party later in the month. We had the family party on his actual birthday but just couldn't get it all together in time for the the kid party at the same time. This year, since I was arriving the evening before, we opted to have the party at Jungle Java. No cleaning or house prep required. The kids can run and play on the indoor playscape, while parents can have coffee. Awesome, and they do all the setup, tear down and cake serving for you. Its great. I did 9am, which is early but one of my pet peeves is birthday parties right at nap time. This way they can play hard, and then be pooped just in time for nap :). Jaxon had never been to Jungle Java, but you would have thought he had been 100 times. he ran right in and was all over the place. Up the walls, down the slides, zip line etc. He had a blast! He just giggled and stuck his tongue out while we sang Happy Birthday, and even blew the candles out before we finished singing. It wouldn't be a birthday without hockey somehow added in so we had a hockey jersey cake. Its was delicious! Thanks to everyone that came out, we had so much fun. I have thnak you cards with coupons, lets see how long it takes me to get those out. Hard to believe my baby is 2. Holy moly.
