I have not been as good about blogging this week, its just been super busy. We had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch on Monday, which I was able to blog about, then it all got too hectic. Here's my recap...
Tuesday was filled with dance, after dance we try to get something quick for dinner so that we can eat and get bathes before it gets too late. Since Alicyn dances from 5-6:30, that only gives us an hour & a half to get everything done. Cooking just seems to push us to far out, so Tues is usually take out :)
Wednesday both Alicyn & Rich had games. Ali played great, the Red Hots are doing really well. They are starting to understand the concept of throwing to the bases so that's good. They can't catch yet, or aim very well either but at least they know the ball needs to get there. Rich's game was at 8:30, so we just dropped him off at the rink and came home, thank goodness he was able to catch a ride home cause the kids were exhausted. And so was mama.
Thursday we stayed home and started the banana bread cooking for the party.
Then on Friday, we help Shannon and Mike celebrate their 10th anniversary & Shannon's birthday. What a great family, I am so thankful for the Thomas'. Its hard to believe that Rich and I will hit 10 years in February, true love is so precious! Mike put together a sweet slide show of their years together. (16 total!!!!). The birthday girl had 2 special requests from us for the party...salsa and banana bread. Not together but that's what she wanted and that's what she got. It's always a good time at the Thomas', they are surrounded by tons of great folks, everyone is like family there. I had a 1/4 glass of pomegranate margarita and got a little warm & toasty. Not surprising to anyone since I hardly ever drink. We were home by 9 since Jaxon was past his bed time and getting grumpy and Alicyn had a game bright and early.
Saturday, Alicyn had a game at 830am! The town and country fields are super nice but man are they hard to find. We were supposed to be there by 8am for warm up, well lets just say we didn't quite make that. We were running up as they were over half way through the line up..oops. Another great game though, Jaxon played in the dirt and rocks for most of the game. Saturday was also Lindsey & Sara's hotel birthday party. My parents gave them a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Hutto. They each brought a friend and spent the whole rest of the day swimming in the indoor pool and telling scary stories. Alicyn spent the night and had a blast. Daddy & Jaxon spent some quality boy time on Saturday night, I went and played bingo with some of the girls from work. Bingo = cheap fun.
Whew, and here we are at Sunday...breakfast with my parents (the normal routine), while Rich worked :(. Then this afternoon was the family birthday party for L&S. GG made king ranch & her famous homemade rolls!! We sang happy birthday and just hung out. The 3 girls really enjoy each other. Jaxon was a happy duck today, and even got to play with his cousin Ambree before the evening was over. This next week should be a little less scheduled.
I told you we were busy....
