Parent/Teacher Conference
This morning, both kiddos slept late. Well, maybe not late to everyone reading this but super late for them...8:30! We had to scramble out the door for a 9am parent/teacher conference. As we imagined, Alicyn is doing really well in Kindergarten. She is testing above average on the assessments and has grown quite a bit since the first assessment a few days into Kinder. Some of her biggest strengths are comprehension, letter recognition and sounds, and numbers. On the number assessment, they are asked to count from 1 as high as they can. If they make a mistake, the teacher has to stop the assessment...Alicyn counted to 101! 101 is the highest they go on the test, cause they figure if you can make it that far you could keep going and going. She is a talker (shocker!!) but Ms. Farque said that if she gives her a warning, she listens and stops. We have had such a positive experience with Ms. Farque, she is fabulous! During the conference, Alicyn hung with friends in the gym while Jaxon gave us a run for our money. He was all over Ms. Farque's room!!!
