"Daddy, It feels like I am dreaming"

Snaggle tooth!

Finally, I am thrilled to report that Alicyn has lost her first tooth!!! This has been a huge deal in our household over the past week since it was literally hanging by a thread. The tooth (her top left) has been through some trauma in her 5 1/2 years which is why it came out first. The latest trauma was a head butt from Jaxon while she was leaning in for a goodnight kiss. Here's how it all went down today after school.

Mom: Can I work on your tooth? Just wiggle?

Ali: No way, i am not falling for that

Mom: Please Ali.

Ali: No

Mom: How 'bout this deal...You can play on webkinz in my lap while I wiggle

Ali: Deal

so she is playn', I am wiggling, and trying to grab that slippery thing. I pull once, nothing. I pull twice and "pop"

Ali: Mom it popped

Mom: Yep, that's cause its OUT!! (I show her the tooth)

Ali squealing with delight runs to the mirror to look.

Together we run to the car to get the treasure chest that the dentist gave us a few weeks ago, Ali bouncing and squealing the whole way. (I am am a mean mom, I would not let her have the chest until the tooth came out..thinking it would be incentive for her to let me pull it- not so much but I stuck to my guns)

Daddy came home a few minutes later and was super excited and proud of this momentous occasion. We celebrated at dinner with my parents, wrote a note for the tooth fairy, and tucked that treasure chest under her pillow.

Just before getting in bed, she ran into the bedroom to give daddy one last hug and kiss and said "Daddy, it feels like I'm dreaming", Rich said "why?" Alicyn said "cause my tooth is really out, I guess I will have to wait until morning to see if I really am dreaming". Daddy pinched her so she would know she wasn't dreaming. I could hear them giggling all the way in the living room, I bet she will fall asleep super quick tonight.
