As part of the 100 day celebration the other day, the kids were asked several questions, and asked to write their answers. Things like, If I had $100 dollars, I would buy.....Alicyn's answer was a flat TV. One of the others was when I am 100 years old....the answers were so funny that Mrs. Farque made a book for the classroom with all their answers. I asked her to get me a copy of Alicyn's. They used a crumpled up paper towel for their faces so you could see the wrinkles, that's why the face is so dark in this scanned picture. I thought her answer was clever. Some may say its morbid, but remember that 100 years old is pretty dang old. I think she is spot on and in touch with the reality that 100 is old.
For those that need some translation, it says "I will be in the hospital. My grandchildren will visit me. I will die soon."
The picture is so detailed, she is laying in a hospital bed, you can see the IV in her arm, a cane next to the bed, the grandchildren, the balloons that the grandchildren brought. We asked her if that was all of her grandchildren, and she said yes so she believes she will have 2. I love this so much.
