We are about to be smack dab in the middle of a backyard project. Not a, lets make the backyard pretty exercise, its more of a let's make sure water never comes in the house again project. It's been something we have needed to do for years but just never got around to it. The backyard has become unusable for us cause its a muddy mess. So we have been preparing for several weeks for tomorrow. The Bobcat is rented and being delivered bright and early so we can reshape the yard to keep the water from coming to get us. Thank goodness for good ole boy neighbors, if it weren't for them, we would be paying the $10K that we were bid for this little project. I am certain we will break the bank and not stay within the budget that we have, but I know it will be less than $10K, so that's a win all in itself.
So we are moving dirt, re-sodding the backyard, getting a sprinkler system added to the backyard (I have always wondered why the people before us only did the front), new shed and eventually a path made of rock. I will post some pictures tomorrow.
