It seems like forever since I have blogged, it’s only been a week though. Life at the our house is good, same stuff different day for the most part. Tonight, it’s all about bedtime. Everyone told me it would happen but I never believed them. Boy do I now. Alicyn never had a bedtime, she went to bed when it was convenient for us, or when she passed out from sheer exhaustion. We did what we always did, just took her with us. Everyone said once she started school that we would be in for a rude awakening where bedtime is concerned. Well, you were right, there I admitted it. We find ourselves planning around bedtime now. Alicyn has to be up by 645 in order to be dressed and fed by 710 when we leave here. She is SLOWWWWWWW getting up, so if she is in bed after 8, it makes her SLOWER. I have little patience for slow. I have places to be. Jaxon, has a set bedtime, even on weekends. That boy is a mess if he is up past 8. I mean mess. It’s not that we learned a lesson from Alicyn, cause she was a CAKE walk compared to him, it’s just that there is no other way to handle him without a bedtime. He is so much more....let’s say.....busy than she ever was even hopped up on candy.
So moral of the story tonight is, unless you have some major emergency, don't call the home phone after 8. Cell is OK, but text is better. And don't bother calling/texting Rich cause 9 times out of 10, he falls asleep with Jaxon. I am your best bet.
PS: I love this song, I am singing it in my head as I type this.....

I love Lady Antebellum!
ReplyDeleteWe sang "I Run To You" for weeks after Kaci got home from the hospital. It is still our favorite song to sing all together when we are in the car.
