On the Road

Tomorrow we are heading to Grapevine for the weekend for the Tremaine Dance Convention/Competition. Yes, Dance Convention. Alicyn will likely be asked to be on the 'Lil Diva' Dance team in the fall, so they invited her to come to this convention to get a feel for what its like as a 'Lil Diva'. Alicyn won't compete with the team this time, just watch. But she will get to attend all the classes they have by famous dance instructors. She will have to audition for a scholarship, we have warned her that she may get told "no thank you", which is their version of you are not good enough. She is sooooo excited. We have been counting down the days all week.

I know some of you (you know who you are) are thinking, DANCE??? That means there is a costume involved, and you are right it does. Many of them, expensive ones, and stupid Revlon Red Lipstick too.....but Alicyn LOVES to dance, like loves it. We are keeping her in "real sports" too but it just doesn't feel right to pull her out of something she really loves. Who knows, after this weekend of dancing from 8am-5pm, she may never want to dance again :). Although, I doubt it.

The cool part is that we are staying in the Gaylord hotel in Grapevine, which I have heard is super cool. I hope its kid friendly, cause we are on our way. Check back for photos.
