Finally, an uneventful weekend

This weekend was normal!!!! Nothing out of the ordinary, and man am I thankful. Grandma is doing good, Trish is doing good, my kids aren't sick, I am not traveling for work. Whew!!! Life is getting back in the pattern I like.

On Friday, I got my eyes checked. As I knew, they have gotten worse since I last had them examined. Who even knows when that was, I am guessing 8-10 years ago. They are 20/30 but I am near sided. So a new pair of spec's is in the making....Rich is up next, he can't even remember when he went last. Alicyn decided she should spend the night with grandma & pop. They played Guess Who, and made pop sleep in the pink room without his heated bed. Thank goodness for the electric blanket we gave him a few Christmas' ago or he might of turned into an ice cube.

Saturday, we had breakfast with Pop at Ken's. Jaxon has now learned how to say "hi ken". I am not sure that Ken's taco Ken get all the credit for that one though. Uncle Ken has been here for several weeks, and Jaxon kinda likes him so I am thinking Ken's taco just got lucky. After breakfast, we hung at the house and were planning on doing some major shredding, that plan didn't work out cause apparently the shredder is dead. Alicyn has been known to put things like license plates in them, I am not sure it was her, but I am just sayin'....Then we got Girl Scout Cookies delivered from our favorite girl scout Kaci!!! Let's see, we gave Ms Farque our hockey tickets since Rich also had a game, and that about sums up Saturday.

Sunday, Daddy worked like always, but the non workers decided to skip breakfast with grandma and Pop. We slept til 9, and Pop was chompin' at the bit to get to his car crap, and we had to be at Trish's at 11, so we just decided not to rush and to hang out. We ate cereal, watched cartoons, and not much else. At Trish's, Alicyn and Lance played, while Jaxon ate. He is a bottomless pit lately, I guess that's make up for when he was sick. After Trish's we went to Tristan's birthday party at the Lifetime Fitness Pool. The kids all swam and I even got in cause I could not stand to not let Jaxon get in. He actually would have been fine not getting in though, for once he was timid and not interested. Alicyn remembered how to swim, and was all over the pool, she went down the slide at least 15 times! Jaxon warmed up a little and blew some bubbles but really got into swimming when Rich arrived.

So there you have it, an eventful, yet uneventful weekend.
